We will try to learn about the journey of one of the most important Yemeni businessmen who has contributed effectively to raising the level of the economy in the country as well as creating employment opportunities for the members of society.

He is Al- Haj / Saleh Hussain Al-Hathrah, born in 1925 in the village of Al- Hadda, Governor of Dhamar.

From the very early age, the commercial sense was applied in his blood and because of the political situation of the country during that period Yemen was isolated from the outside world due to the nature of the ruling regime in the country at the time, which led Haj  Saleh Al-Hathrah to emigrate to Ethiopia  in 1945 and began his business in the field of materials Food, fabrics, detergents and soaps once he gets there.

After more than 15 years of emigration and after the formation of a good wealth, and motivated by patriotism and responsibility towards the motherland, he saw the need to return to the homeland and it was before the Yemeni revolution.

After the arrival of the homeland and stability in the province of Sana'a, began to engage in commercial activity in the old Sana'a area (Souq Al Melh) in the field of food, rice, cement, sugar, detergents and soap.

And he became one of the first Yemeni businessmen and real estate to the private sector and the Yemeni economy in general, and then began thinking about the transformation and the transition to industrial activity beside the trade and already founded and established:

Yemen Company For Manufacturing Detergent & Soap Ltd., to produce and export detergent and soap bearing brands:

(White Tiger، New Right، Jawharah، Super Flash، Deluxe،Camellia )

It is one of the first industrial companies in the Arab world and the first on the Arabian Peninsula.

After that, the industrial field of Al-Hathrah's Group was expanded with the opening of AlNahdain Mineral Water Co. Ltd., that carry the brand name of (Haddah) which is the first product in terms of quality and sweetness in the whole of Yemen as it is subjected to technical supervision in production and quality of a French international company that works in the same field.

The achievements are followed by the opening of the Modern Arab Company for Plastic and Packaging Industries Ltd. The group of industrial and commercial companies become one of the largest economic groups in Yemen....
